It is with indescribable grief, the School Tours of America family mourns the passing of Jan McDonald (formerly Jan Wright) on April 27th after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Jan was an educator in Albuquerque, New Mexico prior to entering the student tour industry in 1988.She was instrumental in both the success of American Student Travel and the formation and success of School Tours of America.

Jan was an early pioneer in the development of New York City as a student tour attraction.On a personal level Jan was famous for her contagious sense of humor and warmth. Her clients have always been ferociously loyal and consider Jan a member of their own family. We will treasure our memories of Jan’s humor, kindness, and authenticity as we grieve and celebrate the life of this special person.
