BOOKING A WHITE HOUSE TOUR

Touring the White House is obviously a very special memory for any US citizen. Unfortunately, one of the many attractions that suffered following September 11, 2001 was the accessibility of touring the White House. Now, the only way to arrange a private tour is to contact your Representative and/or Senator and request the tour through their office. Each Senator and Representative is given a limited number of White House appointments per year for their constituents.

With respect to this tour and the strict security clearance requirements that come with it if the tour is granted, it is essential to begin the request process for the White House tour as soon as possible in order to maximize your chances. Use the buttons below to locate and contact your Representative or Senate office for a tour.

While most offices have an online White House tour request form, it is our experience that the best way to ensure a tour is to follow up the online request by calling the congressional tour coordinator and notifying them of your request. It is also a good idea to follow up the call with a written request letter. For your convenience, a sample letter can be found by clicking the button above.

Additionally, due to the difficulty in obtaining such a tour, you may want to seek assistance from your parents as many times one of the parents may have a personal connection with one of your representatives and willing to make a personal call on your behalf.
